Dr. Ying Sun
Dr. Ying Sun received her B.Eng. degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining Drexel in September 2009, she was an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Dr. Sun’s research interests include multiscale modeling of transport phenomena in energy systems and materials processing, nano/micro-scale two-phase heat transfer, complex fluids physics, printable electronics and photovoltaics, and other areas of multiphase flow and heat/mass transport. She has authored over 75 refereed publications. Dr. Sun was a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the AFOSR Summer Faculty Fellowship. She was also an ELATE Leadership Fellow 2018-19 and won the Drexel COE Outstanding Mid-career Research Award in 2018.
